One of the major developments was the VOIP services being offered to the mass market when compared to the broadband internet services. People could make and receive calls just like the other telephone networks. The high end VOIP Phone companies allow both inbound and outbound calling with the help of Direct Inbound dialing. Many subscribers choose this system because they are offered unlimited domestic calling and calls to other countries. This was offered at a flat monthly fee; however, the subscribers at both ends should be using the same provider.
The VOIP Phone systems use three basic methods of connecting. The first method is the connection through the Analog Telephone Adapter which enables connection between analog phones to a VOIP provider. The next one is the Dedicated VOIP Phones allowing VOIP calls without using the personal computer. Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices are used to connect through the IP. The third one is the Soft Phone also known as Digital Phone which runs on a dedicated software without a dedicated hardware on a computer.
